Today a bit of a palate cleanser: a rather monochromatic combination of Barry M’s “Holographic Moon”, topped with Essence’s “Get The Party Started”.
Somehow I used to think Barry M’s Molten Metal range consisted of polishes with a matte finish, like the Brushed Metal range by Catrice. That one didn’t just have mattness, but also a level of relief in it. But this one is totally smooth! Shown are two coats, although a third one would’ve made it look even better.
The fun thing is that by putting Essence’s “Get The Party Started” on top of it, it looks like it has some texture in it! This topcoat consists of a multitude of gold, silver, pink, purple, and even iridescent glitters. It’s a fun topper, but don’t think it does the basecoat any justice.
It’s an unexpected combination, and even though I don’t think the polishes pull out the best in each other, I still loved to wear this! Both of them have almost never been worn, but I definitely will wear them more often.
