If you know anything about me, you know I’m a big fan of Halloween (or Samhain). Even though we don’t celebrate it over here in Western-Europe, it’s still always the peak of the year to me, and trumps holidays like Christmas. For the next 13 weeks (get it?!) starting today, I’ll be showing you a few Halloween nail arts that I did to celebrate the nearing of this holiday. Today, I start with a bit of a cheat: I’m showing you one of my recently made nail polishes.
The moment I saw the polish, I fell in love with Colores de Carol’s Fangtastic, a very pretty indigo purple filled with different colour glitter, as well as bat-shaped glitter. I was very fortunate to have found bat-shaped solvent-resistant glitter in a nail art store in the UK, and decided to buy it and recreate the polish at home. That way, I could create the polish with an undertone that would suit me better than the original.
But she’s a bit… gloopy. Don’t get me wrong: I love the polish, the colour, and most definitely the bat glitters in it, but the formula isn’t the best. Still, I think it’s a great polish to start the countdown to Halloween with.
