Who says Halloween is only for the glum, dark manicures? It definitely isn’t in my opinion, and in the fifth week of my countdown, I’ll show you my take on how to combine the bewitching spirit of Halloween with some soft pastel hues, to create a spooky yet elegant look.

I started off with a dreamy nail polish, in this case one I made many moons ago. This is Degas by my former indie brand Bows & Polkadots. Its base is a lilac colour, and the shimmer creates a stunning blue shift. This is a polish that I originally made with a Lacquester pigment. I wear it way too less, because it’s actually stunning!

On my thumb, I handpainted a quirky pentagram. Surrounding it, I placed a few kaviar beads, some metal stars. To add to the ouija theme of this look, I made fimocanes with a purple planchette.

On my index, middle, and ring fingers, I placed the famous “goodbye” text found on ouija boards. To do this, I printed the letters on transparent decal paper. Of course, I added some more pizzazz in the form of beads, stars, and yet another planchette.
I really like how these nails turned out! Creating them was very fun, and it was a petty I couldn’t wear them for longer, haha!
