I’m that person that is always looking around for things that spark my eye and could possibly translate well to nail art. One of the recent findings were these gorgeous boots by Dr. Martens, with a marble pattern. Of course I had to recreate it on my nails! Today I’m showing you this Dr. Martens nail art.
The shoes in question are these 1460’s Pascal. The reason they still look very clean and proper, is due to the fact they aren’t broken in yet. The first time I wore them, I was left with a big open blister. You’d think a Dr. Martens fan like myself, with a few too many pairs, would know how to break them in, but alas! I was simply too excited, they are SO stinking cute! Instead, I opted to wear them on my nails. Sort of.
I started with a basis of Barry M’s Lychee. Then I added drops of nail polish to a small bowl with room temperature water, swirled around with a toothpick, and created the watermarble. To match the velvety depth of the shoes, I continued with one layer of Essence I <3 Magic, a holographic shatter topcoat, and ended with Ciaté’s Mattnificent, a matte topcoat.
