As a nail polish “girlie”, I always have a stream of hand cream and cuticle oils coming my way. Half of nail care is done by taking care of your hands, after all. So whenever I visit local drugstores like Kruidvat, I like to check for new updates. And boy, did I find one recently! Today I’m showing you the three limited edition hand creams by their own brand, Kruidvat, in the most sunny and summery scents.
Yuzu & White Tea
First up: yuzu and white tea. A surprisingly soft combination, put into an adorable squeeze tube. It’s the most neutral of the bunch, and definitely the most appropriate one when wearing the cream at work. The scent is mostly that of white tea (love!), but closer to the skin you can smell a slight citrus scent. The yuzu, I presume, as I have never seen the fruit in real life, has a bit of a sharpness to it, which I can appreciate! Overall, this cream reminds me of Søstrene Grene’s quince tea.
Papaya & Lemon
Next up is the very fruita papaya and lemon. As the name already implies, this one does combine the sweet, exotic scent of papaya with a bit of tarty lemon. I like this! The scent is a very summery one, and definitely more noticeable than the prior scent.
Dragonfruit & White Tea
And that leaves me at the last one, which is also the one with the most prominent scent. It honours its name in regards to the scent itself; it’s a very strong and fresh dragonfruit, combined with the soft undertone of white tea. It smells like a cocktail or a very fruity smoothie, and is sweet as well. The scent kind of reminds me of a freshly cut banana tree leaf.
And here’s the texture. As you can see, the cream melts on my skin immediately after applying, which is a huge plus. It spreads very easily, and does indeed not feel greasy on the hands. Due to the formula, which contains panthenol as well as keratin, it does leave a bit of a silky film on the skin. I know this from another panthenol cream I use (for my surgery scars), and immediately knew this ingredient is the culprit. I’m not a big fan of the feeling, but it’s not that severe of an issue to withhold me from using the creams.
If you haven’t yet, I’d recommend you to check your local Kruidvat for these tubes of hand cream. Not only do they look so much fun (love the combination of botanical prints and modern ones), they also contain a very good product, one that I think is in my top five of best hand creams I’ve ever tried. Tubes are €1,99 each, and are limited edition.
