Day two features a scented nail polish by Revlon (“Surf Spray”), with a grassy green Miss Sporty topcoat on top.
This gorgeous colour is “Surf Spray” by Revlon, from their scented Parfumerie line. Shown here are three thin coats, and it’s still rather sheer. Not something I mind a lot, considering the brilliant shine of the polish. I would call this an azure blue with green undertone, that shows up almost turquoise in certain lighting. To be clear; this is due to the shimmer, the polish is not duochrome at all. When dried down, it smells fresh, somewhat menthol-y, and reminds me of toilet freshener, although not in a bad way. Scent stays for about two days, even with topcoat.
On top of that polish is “001” from Miss Sporty’s “Candy Shine” line. I always think it’s boring when a brand only numbers nail polish, but not name them. Application was hard, as the polish doesn’t distribute nail polish that well, unfortunately. The glitters needed a lot of placement and fishing for them to disperse properly. I do have to say that I love the polish, though, as it freshens up the colour a lot. The neon pastel, matte green glitter is combined with small holographic glitter.
I do like this combination, and probably would wear it again! I’m always reluctant to use glitter topcoat over anything other than creams, crellies, or jellies, but this showed me it does work over metallic polishes. I think it’s very spring-appropriate!
