The most fun about ordering nail polish online, is that you can try many different brands you’ve never heard of before. In this case Vipera, a Polish brand originating from 1987. A stunner? Absolutely! Cheap? Also: yes! Today I’m swatching Vipera’s Polka #131.
If I understand correctly, Polka is the name of this specific subtype of nail polish, just like Essence, for example, has Jelly’s or had Twins. They come with the stickered cap filled with polkadots. Bottles are mini, only holding 5,5ml, which still is a reasonable amount for quite a few manis. For reference: YouTuber Unapologetically MJ made a video of using a full bottle of Rimmel, 8ml. She was able to get 50 coats of nail polish on all her fingers, meaning 25 manicures of 2 coats. Extending that math, it means this bottle of 5,5ml (or 68.75% of 8ml) would contain 34 coats of polish. With three coats for two hands, it would come to 11 manicures from this bottle. Rather rad!
#131 (I dislike polishes without names) is a soft pink with a gorgeous blue shimmer in it, showing its full potential in indirect sunlight like above. It’s not streaky at all, but somewhat sheer, hence the need for three layers. Funnily enough, the polish dries down somewhere between semimatt and shiny; the finish you see is just the polish, not a topcoat or anything. It does have a very chemical, old school nail polish scent, making me wonder if it’s even 5-free. I’d recommend always wearing a base coat underneath.
I do love this one! It’s a stunning colour, with a fun effect when met with some light. You get quite a good bang for your buck! I bought this bottle for €1,99 at ParfumDeo.
