Today I’m showing you another subtle combination: Yves Rocher’s “Melon Nacré” combined with an Essence mini in the colour “Message From The North Pole”.
“Melon Nacré” (or pearly melon”) is a very sheer nail polish. Shown are three coats of the polish in a sunny melon-colour with sunkissed, golden and pink sheen. Formula is great, and the polish has a lot of shine to it, even without a topcoat.
“Message From The North Pole” was part of Essence’s 2015 advent calendar, a calendar that was only consisting of nail polishes, stickers, and tools. This topcoat is semi-matt, making the finish a soft, suede-like texture. It has orange and pink-ish microglitters in it that do complement the colour of the base coat. It also seemed to have soften up the translucency of the base colour, making it seem a little bit more opaque in a way.
It’s a fun combination, but not for this time of year, haha! It’s very spring-y, but also a very fun, simple combination. I think I’d wear the topcoat again, but I’m not so sure about the base colour, as I usually prefer a bit more coverage.
