The thirteen weeks of Halloween are almost over, but not before I’m doing a manicure with visuals from one of my favourite movies ever: Nightmare Before Christmas! Of course, I had to incorporate this into this challenge, even though I don’t think it is a Halloween movie at all. Anyway, any reason to show off some spooky nails is reason enough, right?
Essence
And now for something completely different. This year’s Halloween nail arts have been rather modern, kind of ✨aesthetic✨, and not very gore-y or creepy. It just simply suits my style better! However, I do make a big exception for these nails, which is one that I have actually done before. Because when you think of Halloween, you think of blood. And what better way to show that than to put some blood splatter on your nails?
Six weeks to Halloween yet, and seven weeks since I’ve started counting down to it! Today I’m playing around with some recently bought reflective glitter, to make a Halloween-y, yet still kind of elegant look by adding spiderwebs to a pale pink base.
One of the biggest perks of the period coming up to Halloween, is rewatching my favourite spooky movies! The movie I always watch around this time, is Practical Magic. It’s just so cozy! Today I’m bringing am hommage to it by creating a nail art with it… including some magic of its own!
Week 3 of Halloween looks is here, and today I have a green, metallic one for you all! Green is a colour that I have a love/hate relationship with: I love how it looks on my skin, but it simply doesn’t spark joy for me very often. For today’s look, however, it’s the showstopper of the look.
For the second look of my Halloween countdown, I opted to go for a simple, contemporary nail art. Nothing spooky this time, but it is witchy! Today I’m showing you my take on the glazed butter nail trend.
5x Essence Nail Polish – 58 Less Bitter More Glitter, 62 Heart Of Gold, 65 OH-bergine, 66 Give Me Space & Holo Bomb 02 Holy Moly
After Tuesday’s post, I obviously had to follow suit with the Essence nail polishes I bought! During the sales, I bought five very different nail polishes, all vastly different. I started appreciating Essence more as of lately, as the finishes are starting to become much more fun as compared to what they used to be. Polishes were mostly creams, sometimes an iridescent shimmer mixed into it, but nowadays there seems to be much more of a choice available. Also: where Catrice made their nail polish collection smaller, Essence’s seems to have been made bigger. They even sell nail polish thinner? Anyway, here’s the five nail polishes I took home with me, enjoy!
I’m that person that is always looking around for things that spark my eye and could possibly translate well to nail art. One of the recent findings were these gorgeous boots by Dr. Martens, with a marble pattern. Of course I had to recreate it on my nails! Today I’m showing you this Dr. Martens nail art.
A Christmas post in summer?! Yep, indeed! Because I never showed this pearl on my blog, although it’s still available online, and it lacks proper representation from nail polish swatchers. So let’s change that! Today I’m showing you Essence Deer Me, Keep Sparkling!
Hellooooo my lovely readers, and a very happy pride month to you! Today I’m showing you a simple nail art to celebrate pride month with you. As a queer person myself, I always love this month, as it’s a celebration to be unapologetically yourself regardless of your romantic preferences. Plus it’s a good way to add some fun colours in your manicure! ;P
