January is over, so that means that we’re looking at my manicures of last month! These are manicures I have worn for longer periods of time, and not just swatched I post on this website (or any of my social media). This month, I’ve worn five different polishes.
And the first one is immediately a vintage! This is 74 “Rouge Venise” (Venetian Red) by Bourjois. I remember these bottles from my childhood, so they must be around twenty years old (at least!). This one I bought for €0,50 on Vinted, and it’s a stunner! It’s a cool-toned, slightly pinkish red with metallic shimmer in it, with some gold shimmer too. I can’t really comment on the formula, as I had to thin this one a lot.
Another Vinted find: “The Moon” by Illyrian. Unfortunately, this brand seems to have stopped existing for some time now, but this is a gorgeous polish! It’s somewhere between silver and taupe, with a strong linear holo. It’s originally from their Winter 2016 collection.
And you guessed it: this is also a polish from Vinted! Or rather a nail art kit, the “Pupa Princess Fluffy Velvet” kit, from 2013. This was a limited edition, and definitely from that time where we enjoyed using velvet on our nails, lol. It’s a basic pink with a soft pink velvet powder on top, which lasts as short as you think it does. First picture is the evening I applied it, the bottom one is two days later.
This one I’ve shown before on the blog! Pictured is Catrice’s C01 “Land of Snow” from their last Christmas collection “Magic Christmas Story”. I think my review on this was very clear, so I’m not going to write a lot about it here. You can find my review over here.
My VernisOngles order came finally in! One item was pre-order, and then delivery to them was delayed due to the storms in the UK. But I received it, and I couldn’t have been more happy (or dare I say; I was “The Most Happy“?)! Of course I had to try a-england’s “Anne Boleyn” immediately, and omg I fell in love! After being on my wishlist for years, I was afraid for disappointment, but a-england de-liv-ers with this one. It’s such a rich, royal, shiny colour, that offers a tremendous amount of depth due to the holographic glitter in it. Stay tuned, because you know I will review this one soon!
